Luxury social networking service Elysiants threw a boozy, pretty-peopled party at which Vinny Chase - the sexy movie star character on hit HBO series Entourage - would have felt right at home.

'Ruud [Smeets] and Ronald [de la Fuente-Saez] had wanted a reggae theme,' regional managing director Valerie Soh said of the two Curacao-based founders' original idea for Thursday's party. But over here, hip hop and Hollywood glamour is more the thing, so we channelled the LA vibe of Entourage.'

The entrances of the venue - the Entourage restaurant and bar on Elgin Street - were flanked by two new Lamborghini Gallardo Tricolores, one of which was up for silent auction during the party. Elysiants also offered a killer deal for all aspiring astronauts - buy one of the bottles of G.H. Mumm Cordon champagne at the party for HK$780,000 and get a free trip to space with private space tourism company Space Expedition Curacao. Clearly, the goal for the night was to aim high.

Upstairs at the bar, models brandishing chokers and chains lured guests to see designer Kelly Chan's Vicious Venom couture-punk handbags.

While there were no takers from the Hong Kong jet set for the champagne-in-space experience, one winner did take home the keys to the Lamborghini for HK$4.2 million.
