PolyU's Virtual Summer Camp will help students plug into 3D animation technology

The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) will this month turn on its Virtual Reality Summer Camp, which involves several lectures and laboratory visits to help improve students' understanding of 3D animation and virtual technologies. Conference on social responsibility at CityU

City University (CityU) alumni, particularly those involved in social welfare societies, are invited to attend this month's conference on nurturing social responsibility among graduates. Seminar on China's rural medical system

Medical and sociology majors are invited to attend this month's Research Seminar lecture at CityU. The talk will focus on a case study concerning China's New Rural Cooperative Medical System, an initiative launched in 2003 to address the healthcare needs of farm workers and communities (above).

HKU group hosts meals for the mentally ill

The Social Service Group from the University of Hong Kong (HKU) is hosting a series of events through July and August in support of those suffering from mental illnesses. The series will start with a briefing session at a Caritas activity centre in Hung Hom. Later, guests will be taken out for lunch, followed by a grocery-buying trip to PARKnSHOP. The second day will focus on table manners and social etiquette, during which guests will visit KFC for a group meal.
