China were last night  only two gold medals shy of all 10 available in the diving events in  the Fina World Championships at  Shanghai's Oriental Sports Centre. China missed this historic feat by only one gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and by three at the 2009 world championships in Rome. It must win the women's three-metre springboard final today and  the men's 10-metre platform tomorrow to achieve the clean sweep this time around.
