Luzardo ready to pit wits against Torres

Kitchee defender Ubay Luzardo is looking forward to a reunion with Fernando Torres when his side face Chelsea tonight.

The Spaniard, who joined the Hong Kong club two seasons ago, played against his compatriot once before, in a youth tournament.

'It will be great to play Torres again in Hong Kong,' said the centre-half, whose solid play contributed much to the club's success last season. 'I think I can handle him, but if Chelsea play Didier Drogba up front, it will be much more difficult.'

Club boss Ken Ng Kin said the pressure is all on the English giants.

'No one will expect us to win and we will play without any pressure,' said Ng. 'Coupled with the hot and humid weather, we may be able to achieve something impossible.

'I just tell the boys go out and enjoy a great match against a great side. You won't have too many chances like these.'

Kitchee's two Hong Kong internationals - captain Lo Kwan-yee and Chu Siu-kei - will be on the bench, despite their possible appearance in a return leg match against Saudi Arabia in the World Cup qualifiers on Thursday.

'The duo made a great contribution to our success last season and that's why we are able to be here in the Asia Trophy,' said Ng. 'It will be a great pity if they miss the chance of playing against Chelsea.'

But he added that they would not play more than 30 minutes in order not to tire them too much. The pair were in the starting 11 when Hong Kong lost 3-0 in Sunday's away leg.

Striker Jorge Tarres, however, will definitely start after his return from Spain a couple of weeks ago. Last season's top scorer had to undergo medical tests to show he is free of a muscle infection that killed his mother.
