Food to fly for

Baked drumstick (2 servings)

6 drumsticks

Seasonings:

1 tbsp ketchup

2 tsp soy sauce

2 tsp honey

1 tsp cooking wine

1 tsp oil

A pinch of black pepper and salt

1. Pre-heat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius.

2. Clean and dry the drumsticks.

3. Marinate the drumsticks in the ketchup, soy sauce, salt and pepper for 30 minutes, or even overnight.

4. Line an oven tray with aluminium foil and grease it with oil.

5. Bake the drumsticks for 20 minutes, then spread a layer of honey on them.

6. Increase the heat to 250 degrees and bake the drumsticks for another 3 minutes.

Bibimbap dumpling (2 servings)

300g rice

2 mushrooms

1/4 carrot

30g minced beef

20g spinach

20g corn

Seasonings:

2 tsp soy sauce

2 tsp sesame oil

2 tsp cooking wine

1 tsp sugar

1 tsp salt

A pinch of black pepper

1. Cook the rice and let it cool.

2. Chop the mushroom, carrot and spinach into pieces.

3. Heat a pan and stir-fry carrot, spinach and corn till cooked.

4. Stir-fry the minced beef with the mushroom until cooked, before adding in the vegetables and seasonings.

5. Fill half of a rice dumpling-making mould (of any shape) with rice, add in some fillings and top it with rice.

6. Squeeze the rice dumpling tight. Wrap it with a thin strip of seaweed.

Tip: Wet hands with water to avoid rice sticking to hand.

Pan-fried bibimbap cake

150g rice

2 mushrooms

1 egg

1/4 carrot

30g minced beef

20g spinach

20g corn

Seasonings:

2 tsp soy sauce

2 tsp sesame oil

2 tsp cooking wine

1 tsp sugar

Chilli paste (optional)

1 tsp salt

A pinch of black pepper powder

1. Cook the rice.

2. Chop the mushroom, carrot and spinach into pieces.

3. Heat a pan and stir-fry the carrot, spinach and corn until cooked.

4. Stir in the minced beef with the mushroom. Stir-fry the mixture until cooked before adding in the cooked vegetables.

5. Beat an egg. Add to the mixture along with the seasonings.

6. Heat a pan. Scoop one tablespoon of the mixture into the pan for one cake and fry it for two minutes on each side until golden brown.
