Chance to play 'King of Games'

'The King of Games - let other people play at other things. The King of Games is still the Game of Kings,' reads a stone tablet at a polo field in Asia.

If you would like to learn more about the 'sport of kings', here is your chance. China's largest polo facility, the Goldin Metropolitan Polo Club in Tianjin, holds its Junior Equestrian and Polo Programmes (JEPP) this summer.

Participants will learn to ride, how to play polo on horseback and also how to care for the horses. Daily fun activities and competitions will be included. Young polo players from England will be sharing tips with beginners.

The price for all meals and activities is 30,000 yuan (HK$36,240) for nine days per student, including a shared deluxe room at the club's five-star hotel. Parents can join for just 1,200 yuan per day for a shared room and 1,500 yuan for a single room. Call the Hong Kong hotline - 8206 0776 - for details.

The club invites two Young Post readers to join their JEPP short course, from August 25 to 28, all expenses paid. Go to yp.scmp.com to enter. The competition closes at midnight on Sunday. Winners can bring along one parent.
