Angry Birds gets knocked off top perch

Technology

Angry Birds, the ever-popular mobile game application by Finnish-based Rovio, has finally been knocked off its No 1 position for iPad free games in the international iTunes app store by the Chinese-designed Dr Stanley's House 2.

Designed by James Li, a Beijing-based developer and Adobe China employee, the game is a detective-mystery-adventure game. The app, part of a six-year-old franchise, has garnered more than 1 million players from around the world on the iOS and Android mobile platforms, and has been downloaded more than 360,000 times from the iTunes Store alone. The game is also available to play on PCs.

Li, who has also created titles such as Atlantis Temple, developed the game using programs such as Adobe Flash Professional CS5.5 and Adobe Flash Builder 4.5.
