Joyce Cheng offers dietary advice at Starbucks launch
As we enter the hottest, stickiest month of the year, Starbucks has done the cool thing and brought back its chilled coffee jelly beverage.
The coffee chain invited celebrities Joyce Cheng Yan-yee and Jennifer Tse Ting-ting to the launch of the coffee jelly drinks last Friday at Wan Chai's The Quarterdeck Club restaurant. The beauties were kept busy making their own drinks and posing for photos.
Cheng, daughter of late comedienne Lydia Sum Tin-ha, keeps an especially keen eye on her calorie intake, as the actress has taken great pains to shed her previous chubby girl image.
Although a cup of whipped cream and syrup-pumped mocha was probably out of the question, the jelly drink did not seem to worry her. 'I love it. It's such an awesome idea to combine jelly with coffee,' she said. Asked about dieting tips, the beauty said a nutritionist was a great help. 'The most important thing, though, is not to go to extremes but to keep everything balanced, and then you can maintain your weight.' Presumably that means coffee jelly will not be part of her daily menu.
