Higson Smith has 26 years of investment banking experience, predominantly in Asia, and oversees Platinum's capital markets activities. He previously worked with Rothschild, WI Carr and SG Warburg.

Goulios, a partner in DLA Piper's Asia-Pacific litigation and regulatory group, is moving from Melbourne to Singapore. He has represented lawyers, accountants, auditors, stockbrokers, trustees and other commercial professions and their insurers.

Bhavtosh Vajpayee

Barclays Capital

Vajpayee will have responsibility for leading and developing India equity research, sales and trading. He previously spent 10 years at CLSA and was most recently head of technology research. Vajpayee also worked at JM Morgan Stanley.

Conor Cunningham
Head of exchange traded derivatives, Asia-Pacific

Based in Singapore, Cunningham will run Citi's ETD businesses across the region. He joins from JP Morgan, having started there in 2001. From 2007 he was head of fixed income, futures and options for Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Steve Yang
Head of Greater China credit sales

Based in Hong Kong, Yang joins Citi from JP Morgan, where he headed Taiwan credit and investor sales for seven years before co-leading structured credit syndication. Before that, he worked in the institutional clients group at Deutsche Bank.

Ada Cheng
Platinum Holdings

Cheng has 10 years of experience in managing the finance team of a securities broking firm. She joined Platinum as the chief financial officer in 2008. She is a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Frederic Laine

RBC Capital Markets

Laine will oversee operations in Hong Kong, Beijing and Singapore. He has more than 20 years of experience in Asian markets. Laine was most recently regional head of the financial institutions group in Asia ex-Japan at Credit Agricole.

Jonathan Gove
Greater China market leader

Gove focuses on providing services such as human capital, benefits and investment consulting, outsourcing, actuarial, and mergers and acquisitions. Before joining Mercer in 2009, he spent 18 years at Oliver Wyman (Mercer Management Consulting).
