Citic appoints director to investigating board

Citic Pacific yesterday announced it had appointed independent non-executive director Francis Siu Wai-keung to become a member of the special committee of the board that deals with investigations by the Securities and Futures Commission and the commercial crime bureau of the Hong Kong Police Force. The SFC and the police are currently investigating Citi's disclosure of the company's disastrous derivatives losses in 2008.
