Print mirrored images using a laser printer or photocopier (inkjet will not work).

Cut out images from prepared printouts.

Colour images with the pastels.

Tap the paper against the table to get rid of the excess powder.

Put the image face down on top of the bag and hold it in place.

Brush wintergreen oil on the wrong side of the image until you can see the wet image through the paper.

Using a wooden stick, rub the image until the colours transfer to the bag. The harder you rub, the better a transfer you will get. Be careful not to move the fabric or the paper, or your image will blur.

Lift a corner to see if the image has been transferred. Continue rubbing if it has not.

Spray a layer of fabric coating on the surface of the bag.

Hang the bag in a well-ventilated area for a day to let the smell of the oil evaporate.
