There was lots of talk about nuptials in the Island Shangri-La's grand ballroom on Chinese Valentine's Day - talk of dresses, drinks and the perfect hairdo.

A number of socialites, engaged and already married, showed up at the hotel's Signature Weddings Bridal Fair on Saturday, including newly engaged Candice Chan Sze-wai and Leonard Chao, and Brandon and Jenny Chau.

Designers Vivienne Tam and Cecilia Yau also showcased their wedding dresses at the event.

While guests savoured truffle canap?s and free-flowing champagne, models trotted down the runway wearing wedding gowns by Vera Wang and Monique Lhuillier, and jewellery by Bulgari.

Model Amanda Strang, who's due to wed on September 11, said it was a dream come true to wear the only Monique Lhuillier bridal gown available in Hong Kong at the event.
