Successful women share their thoughts on life and loveliness with 'China's Oprah'
'China's Oprah' Chen Luyu held court at Shiseido's product launch at the Shore Restaurant on Friday. Borrowing the format from her popular television show A Date with Luyu, the lithe hostess sat down with two young and successful Hong Kong businesswomen to chit-chat about the life-work balance and beauty secrets, in front of a live audience.
Echoing the skincare brand's Future Solution LX series of anti-ageing products, Chen asked her guests about their concept of 'the future'. The founder of clothing and lifestyle store Bread n Butter, Victoria Law, said the future was 'all about setting goals'.
'It's so important to be clear about what you want,' Law said. 'Once you figure that out, it becomes much easier to make that future a reality. For me, the parameters for my goals are not to be greedy and to seek my bliss.'
Gigi Chao, managing director of Haut Monde Talent is well known for her outspokenness. The adventuress said she was more concerned about 'living in the now'.
'What's most important is being in the present,' Chao said. 'I make sure I cherish all the people and things in my life today.'
When it comes to skincare, however, the ladies share the belief that preserving and enhancing one's natural beauty is the way to go.
