Manila survivors deliver petition to consulate
Survivors and relatives of victims of last year's Manila hostage tragedy delivered a petition letter to the Philippine Consulate yesterday, demanding a meeting with President Benigno Aquino on their coming trip to Manila. They want a formal apology from the Philippine government for the massacre, compensation, and appropriate penalties for officials responsible for the security debacle.
Flights, passenger tally hit new monthly record
More than five million passengers and 28,880 flights passed through the airport in July, a new monthly record. The Airport Authority said the figures were 5.7 and 8.1 per cent up respectively on the same period last year. But cargo throughput was 341,000 tonnes, down 6.1 per cent.
32 people arrested in drug raids on TST pubs

Record number register to vote

Woman stable after hospital transfer
