British education on show this weekend
Students and parents are invited to the British Council's Education UK exhibition this weekend at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai.
The event, running from 1pm to 7pm on Saturday and Sunday, will provide an opportunity to learn more about studying in Britain. Representatives from 60 British schools, colleges and universities will be on hand to give advice to students looking for places.
The British Council is encouraging students completing both A-levels and the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education in 2012 to attend so they can be ready to submit applications in September next year. September is the peak application month.
Katherine Forestier, director of education and science at the British Council, said: 'Whether students are studying for HKALE or the HKDSE, or any other qualification, now is the time they should be planning their applications for next year.'
The exhibition will also offer many seminars on topics including choosing the right subjects, career prospects and exam preparations.
