WE have been asked to clarify a report published on Saturday under the headline: 'Client's fees not yet fixed, barrister tells judge'.

It stated that the client's fees would be settled after the case was completed when barrister Kevin Egan sent the bill to the client. In fact the bill will be sent by Mr Egan's instructing solicitors, Johnson, Stokes and Master. A barrister may not appear in court unless his fees are already settled.
