Ex-lover seeks injunction

A woman's ex-boyfriend yesterday asked the High Court to issue an injunction restraining her from harassing him after she told his neighbours he was impotent and infected with Aids.

The writ filed by Lau Tat-wai against ex-girlfriend Joey Yip Lai-kuen, a nurse employed by the Hospital Authority, said she had shown 'extreme attention-seeking tendencies' after their relationship ended in 2007.

Following the break-up she moved into the Tseung Kwan O building where Lau also lived. She then stalked him and hired a private detective to keep track of his movements, according to the writ.

The two began an intimate relationship that lasted for four months after they met on a Japanese-language course in March 2007.

After the break-up, Yip stole Lau's personal information by logging into his e-mail accounts, the writ states.
