Kudo Shinichi e no Chousenjou (anime)

Shonen

Pint-sized detective Conan Edogawa's alter ego is back solving more cases in a new series of the live-action television show Kudo Shinichi e no Chousenjou.

Before Conan was given a poison that made him turn back into a little boy and adopt a new identity, he was the high-school detective Kudo Shinichi.

The new series, which is currently being broadcast in Japan on YTV, begins with Kudo waking up in a sealed white room with his classmate and childhood friend Ran and her father Mori Kogoro.

Inside the room, a computer console displays a date. A message on the screen tells them that this is their only clue to a password that must be inputted for them to escape.

Kudo quickly figures out that the date refers to a case that he solved, and we get to see it all in a flashback. Once the case has been solved Kudo works out what the word may be and inputs it into the console.

An exit from the room is revealed, but... it leads to another white room and another console!

Each episode will require Kudo to figure out the password after a flashback to an escapade, but just how many rooms are there?

Mizobata Junpei reprises his role as Shinichi, along with Kutsuna Shiori as Ran, and Jinnai Takanori as Ran's father, himself a private detective - but not as good as the junior sleuth,

Hopefully this new series will make its way to local TV soon.
