Jordans Fruit & Nut Muesli
An intensely sweet and full-flavoured muesli, this could easily satisfy the sweet tooth with its generous portion of fruit, including pineapple, papaya, raisins and dates. The thin slices of coconut add a layer of richness, while toasted barley and wheat complete the flavour-packed combination. The fruits can be a little overpowering, however, so be sure to shake the box to mix them up with the oats.

Carman's Original Fruit-Free Muesli
A nutty and starchy cereal, with a pronounced sweetness of honey, it tastes like a muesli bar - not surprising, because the brand also makes those. This combination is free of any genetically modified ingredients, instead opting to include a handful of nuts that are crushed to a spoon-friendly size. With its low glycaemic index, it's said to keep you full longer. HK$59.90, ParknShop International, citywide
Nature's Path Organic Heritage Heirloom Muesli
For muesli novices, this offers a comfortable transition from regular cereal, such as cornflakes, thanks to the large flakes of oats and corn. It has a great toasted flavour, punctuated with raisins, raspberries and a small amount of crushed hazelnuts. The thick flakes hold their shape well even after extended time in milk; it won't disappoint those in search of a crunch.

Dorset Cereals Luscious Berries & Cherries Muesli
This is for lovers of tartness because the amount of dried fruit is astounding; you'll see more black and red than golden oats. The cherries provide an earthy acidity, while the blueberries are astringent. The blackberries mellow them out, but the acid tang will stay on your tongue long after breakfast. You'll also have lovely berry-infused milk.

Nicola's Organics Unsweetened Organic Muesli
This organic muesli from New Zealand comes in a resealable bag. It contains chewy, substantial grains of wholegrain oats, with a sprinkling of barley flakes, raisins, sunflower seeds, dried apricots, dried apples, pumpkin seeds and crushed almonds. There is little taste aside from the sunflower seeds, especially with milk. A spoonful of honey and cut fruit will perk it up nicely.
