Everything about you should be coming up roses

Grooming

Personal grooming is all about looking and smelling your best. This involves paying attention to personal hygiene and your appearance, such as the way you dress and how your hair looks. These send signals to others about what you are like as a person.

People may be put off by untidy clothes, greasy hair, dirty fingernails, bad breath and dirty shoes. Of course, appearances aren't everything. Everyone knows that looking nice doesn't necessarily mean that you are a better or nicer person. Yet people are biologically and culturally programmed to judge others based on their appearance.

In this new series, we will walk you through all the steps you need so as to look (and smell) your best. This week, you can find out how much you know about personal grooming.

Take this test to learn your grooming IQ.
