Claim: An overnight mask pack for troubled skin, it encourages circulation, recovers damaged skin and helps regenerate skin cells and collagen synthesis. Witch hazel and Triclosan are antibacterial and reduce redness, while salicylic acid removes dead skin cells and controls sebum.
Caudalie - Vinopure Matte Finish Fluid (HK$398/40 ml)
Claim: Ideal for combination skin that needs antioxidant protection, this oil-free formula contains moisturising grape-seed polyphenols and Vinolevure (extracted from yeast) which neutralises free radical damage and regulates oil-water balance.
Verdict: Gatineau's concentrate is light and silky and glides on easily, leaving the skin fresh and moisturised but not oily. Caudalie's fragrant, creamy formula feels a bit heavier, but gives skin a hydrated yet matte look that lasts for hours. Neogen's overnight mask is cooling, thanks to its gel-like formula. It feels sticky upon application, but is absorbed quickly and leaves the skin smooth and firm.
