Police arrested five teenagers in connection with the torching of four double-decker buses in Tsz Wan Shan last week. The suspects were four boys and a girl, aged 13 and 14.
After the attack on September 13, a blogger, 'Hinhin Lau', bragged on Facebook that he was responsible. A picture of the burning vehicles was posted on another Facebook page, belonging to 'Sze tse'.
Their Facebook posts sparked heated debate on online forum HKGolden. One person claimed he sent pictures of the girl and an alleged accomplice to the police.
One KMB bus was burned down to its frame, two others were severely damaged and a station was destroyed. The smoke forced about 100 nearby residents to evacuate. A security guard was sent to hospital after inhaling smoke.
