Ladies of leisure enjoy female-only afternoon of high tea, eye candy and the culinary arts

Hong Kong's ladies of leisure were treated to an afternoon of high tea, eye candy and a lesson in culinary arts at Blancpain's Ladies Only! event at the Miele Private Lounge in Causeway Bay.

Sitting down to tea served in fine china with dainty finger sandwiches, the female-only guests had plenty to look at on Thursday as three hunky male models walked around to each table, showing off Blancpain's latest timepieces for women.

The star of the show, however, was model and yoga book author Ankie Beilke, who demonstrated two of her favourite things to cook at home - a salt-baked whole sea bass and a chocolate lava cake.

'Both my mum and dad love to cook,' she said, while deftly seasoning the fish for baking.

'And I've been their kitchen assistant since I was little; so I've picked up both the interest and the skills from them.'

When asked how she kept her trim figure as a food-lover, Beilke plugged her other passion: 'I do lots and lots of yoga; it's really an amazing way to keep both mind and body in good shape.'
