Some TLC from trainer Derek Cruz helped Double Dragon back to the winner's list, the victory putting the horseman on top of the early season rankings. Cruz said Double Dragon, a seven-year-old who now has two wins from 27 starts, came to him over-raced, underweight and with ulcer problems. At his first start for the in-form stable yesterday, he managed an all-the-way victory in a Class Four Handicap. It was win number five for Cruz in 2011-12, making him outright leader in the trainer's premiership. 'It's just timing, some of those horses have just come right at the right time and there's some confidence around the yard,' Cruz said. On Double Dragon, he said it was a matter of 'getting his eating habits right.'
