Chinachem is holding a charity nature walk in Sai Kung on October 23 to raise money for WWF's Hong Kong education programme. The walk offers the public, young and old, an opportunity to get exercise, appreciate the natural heritage of Sai Kung and show support for environmental protection.

The walk will start from Pak Tam Chung Nature Trail, where participants can choose from two routes depending on their physical fitness. Information guides will be stationed at checkpoints along the trail. The first stop is at an ancient kiln that shows the engineering skills of the area's early inhabitants. The second is a massive volcanic rock dating back 140 million years. Another highlight is the High Island Reservoir, the largest reservoir in Hong Kong.

Kung Yan-sum, chairman of the Chinachem Charitable Foundation, said: 'Our hope is to help inspire the younger generation and the public to become responsible stewards of the Earth.'
