If you found yourself glued to the television during Kate and William's royal wedding, it's time to get carried away with details of the grand nuptials of our very own Karen Mok Man-wai.
The singer-actress will marry her first love, a German known only as Johannes - who she first met at the age of 17 - on Saturday in Florence, Italy. Her designer friend Johanna Ho has been working on the wedding dress and Mok found her dream shoes thanks to Italian brand Salvatore Ferragamo.
Photos of her fitting in June were released by the brand earlier this week, showing how the diva had worked closely with the fashion house's craftsmen on her crystal-studded, open-toe satin footwear, decorated with Ferragamo's signature bow and overlayed with lace.
Mok showed up last weekend as a guest of honour for the brand's spring-summer 2012 presentation at Milan Fashion Week. She also chatted to the brand's creative director, Massimiliano Giornetti, backstage after the show. And it's pretty likely that their conversation touched on her footwear for the big day.
