A fine time to get something sleek on your wrist

Hamilton - Thin-O-Matic

A collection with roots in the 1960s, the original Hamilton Thin-O-Matic watches were dubbed the flattest automatics of their time. This new addition (inquiries: 2506 3663) continues the sleekness and houses a slim (thanks to the Buren microrotor) Automatic 2824 movement. Coming with a choice of a 38mm or 42mm case, this unisex timepiece can be fitted with a black or brown leather strap, nine-link metal bracelet or metal flex bracelet - all injecting a vintage twist. Other retro details include gently curved dials and second hands as well as snap-back closures.

A. Lange & Sohne - Saxonia Thin

The Saxonia Thin (HK$154,000) is the 160-year-old German brand's flattest timepiece yet, with its scant 5.9mm pink gold case housing the newly developed 2.9mm calibre. The hour and minute hands and the indexes in pink gold setting against the silver dial create a simple yet elegant watch face, while the manually wound movement can be admired through the transparent caseback. The timepiece is fitted with a chestnut hand-stitched crocodile strap with a case-matching prong buckle.

Jaeger-LeCoultre - Grande Reverso Ultra Thin Tribute to 1931

Celebrating the Reverso's 80th birthday, the ultra-thin tribute is more svelte than ever, measuring just 7.2mm thanks to the diminutive 2.94mm width of the self-manufactured calibre. It comes in steel (HK$58,000) with a limited edition of 500 in pink gold (HK$120,000), and features a black or white dial with dagger-shaped hands and batons marking the hours.
