Saddling up

Bally's Dark Horse collection is a seductive range of shoes, boots and bags crafted from contrasting black and tan leather, with simple cuts and lines. The Delavie three-strap court shoe (right; HK$7,190) and Dany two-tone day bag (above right; HK$9,890) would make a stylish combination for the office. Bally is in Elements, 1 Austin Road West, Kowloon, tel: 2834 8872.

Mixing it up

The secret to making Vivienne Westwood's surrealistic catwalk look work in the real world is to combine a little of it with your everyday wardrobe. Mixing the bright floral prints of this rustic yellow dress (below left; HK$$7,580) with simple tights and flat brogues makes for a quietly quirky autumn day look. If you're feeling bolder, pair this modern shirt dress (below right; HK$7,580) with thigh-high flats. Vivienne Westwood is at 42 Paterson Street, Causeway Bay, tel: 3549 6308.

Bright lights

Emphasis Jewellery has used the sultry Hong Kong skyline as the inspiration for its Solitaire Plus collection of necklaces, earrings and rings. Using princess-cut diamonds with brown and white stones set in black and white gold, the jewellery recalls the shimmering lights of the city's skyscrapers. We love the long drop earrings (below left; HK$18,000) and the Solitaire pendant (below; HK$12,400), with a 0.3-carat centre stone. Emphasis Jewellery is in IFC Mall, Central, tel: 3107 0196.

Sustainable spirit

Esprit's RCA Limited Edition collection features woolly winter warmers made from natural fibres and colours. Created by a trio of students from London's Royal College of Art, the range, which includes luxurious jumper dresses (above; HK$999 to HK$1,199), was launched at a graduate fashion show held by the college. Esprit is at 7 Ashley Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, tel: 2377 9114.
