Tripartite centre needs managers

Programme managers
Tung Wah College

Tung Wah College, the city's newest self-financing institution, is seeking managers to run its innovative co-operative scheme. Under this system - the first in Hong Kong, according to college president Professor Thomas Wong - students receive a one-year, fully paid work placement as part of their four-year curriculum.

The Co-operative Education Resources Centre - connecting employers, students and the college - is hiring for three key posts.

Reporting to the director of the Community Relations and Partnership Development Office (CRPDO), the 'centre-in-charge' will be responsible for management, administration and staff supervision, identifying opportunities and promoting the co-operative educational concept. Applicants must have at least 10 years' work experience and a master's degree in business administration or management. 'The candidate should be mature and have a strong passion in student career development,' says Shirley Chong, director of CRPDO.

Two co-ordinators are also sought to give administrative and logistic support. A recognised degree and five years' work experience are needed. All positions require good Chinese and English.
