The Oxford and Cambridge Society of Hong Kong Biennial Varsity Ball was held at the Hong Kong Country Club on Saturday. All tickets were sold out, and the event's glamorous 'red carpet' theme attracted more than 300 alumni and donors.

Funds for an outreach programme organised by The Samaritans, as well as the society's scholarship grants bursary, were raised through a charity auction and the sale of raffle tickets.

Guests were still turning up to the party after 11pm, and the event ended about 3am.
