Winner Lee full of praise for inaugural HK mountain race

Salomon Bonaqua Racing team member Peter Lee stole the show in the inaugural MSIG HK50 mountain run on Hong Kong Island yesterday, winning in 4 hours 7 minutes 30 seconds. 'I enjoyed it,' he said. 'Very good, nice course and very glad we didn't go up Violet Hill as would have died. It's perfect timing just three weeks before Trailwalker and good to get mileage in. I thought the event atmosphere was pleasant, nice mix of general road runners and trail runners which is always good to have fun against each other.' North Face team member Kami Semick won the women's event in a lightning fast 4:14.58. 'I thought today was fine, some parts strong and other parts I was laughing as I just cannot run downhill on stairs. The course was a mix of everything as it was Hong Kong Island at its best.'
