Christopher David Johns, director of operations, Renaissance Harbour View Hotel Hong Kong

Johns has over 17 years of experience and will oversee the hotel's daily operations including rooms, housekeeping, front office, food and beverage and banqueting. '[Johns] will bring great enthusiasm to the new assignment,' says Karl Hudson, general manager of Renaissance Harbour View Hotel Hong Kong.

Sylvain Gysler, head of independent asset managers - Singapore, Bank Pictet & Cie (Asia)

Gysler will lead a team providing solutions to independent asset managers and global family offices in the region. 'Hiring [him] further strengthens our local presence with a multinational talent pool,' says Claude Haberer, head of Pictet Wealth Management Asia ex-Japan. Gysler holds an MBA from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

Jenny Chan, general manager - Hoffman Hong Kong, The Hoffman Agency

Chan will oversee all client programmes and new business development for the agency's Hong Kong operations. This is her second promotion in less than two years. She will continue to report to Chris Tang, managing director of The Hoffman Agency Asia Pacific. 'I'm thrilled to be recognising not only [Chan's] success as leader of Hoffman's Hong Kong operations, but also the impact she has made onclients as a strategic adviser, delivering high value programmes and counsel,' said Tang. Chan will work closely with the agency's global leadership team to drive regional collaboration for global client accounts under the agency's single P&L approach.

Vicky Yang, account director - Hoffman China, The Hoffman Agency

Yang will be responsible for daily operations, senior client consulting and new business development. Prior to joining Hoffman, Yang worked for an elite group of public relations companies, serving renowned telecommunications and technology companies including HTC, Ericsson, HiNet, NXP Semiconductors and Spansion.

Steven Yeo, senior vice-president and chief legal andcompliance officer - Asia, Manulife Financial

Based in Hong Kong, Yeo will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for legal and compliance services across the Asia division. He is a member of both the Asia division senior leadership group and the global legal team. Originally from Singapore, Yeo attended university in the UK. He has over 23 years of legal experience.

Chris Lin, of counsel, DLA Piper

Based in Beijing, Lin will focus on DLA Piper's China employment practice. He is an expert in China employment law and labour relations, and has solid experience working with human resources (HR) professionals from prominent US and European companies in China. He has also advised leading Fortune 500 companies on issues related to nearly all aspects of HR practice.
