Charity project Box of Hope plans to deliver 8,000 shoeboxes of surprises to underprivileged children in Hong Kong and Asia this month.

Set up in 2008, the charity organises an annual drive to collect boxes filled with new toys, educational and hygiene tools, and clothes. It will be collecting boxes this week from around 40 drop-off points across the city. Visit for details of what to include in your box of hope and for drop-off locations.

This year, you can win the chance to help Box of Hope deliver gifts around the city. To enter the competition, you must send a paragraph, poem or picture that describes what you like about the charity and its aims, and why you would like to take part in the delivery. E-mail entries to nicole@ by Friday.
