Peter Ho indulges in a bit of horseplay at BMW party as he goes from horseback to horsepower
What better way to launch a hot new car than with hot 'his and hers' celebrities?
At the unveiling of its new 5 Series car at Ocean Terminal on Friday, BMW invited actor Peter Ho Run-dong and model Ana Rivera to pit their good looks against those of the M5 sedan - 'a super racing car in disguise'.
Ho, who took time off from his next film to fly in from the mainland for the event, said he had been experiencing a different kind of horsepower on set.
The film requires him to spend lots of time on horseback. Luckily, he has an impressive 11 years' equestrian experience - with a few falls along the way. 'My falls have never been too bad, knock on wood,' he said. 'But I have noticed preferential treatment to actresses when it comes to stunt accidents.
'I've seen female co-stars fall off their horse and when that happens, filming stops and the whole crew rushes forward to see if they are OK.
'When I fall, somebody might shout, 'Hey, you alive?' and I've got to dust myself off and keep going.'
Thanks to his riding skills, Ho is nicknamed 'Original Condor Hero' - a reference to Jin Yong's martial arts epic - in his native Taiwan.
Fast horses or fast cars, he can handle them all.
