Trainer Gary Ng Ting-keung stuck with Zac Purton on Kingston Spartacus, Purton stuck with the horse and the tale ended in cheers as the five-year-old claimed an overdue victory. The gelding had run well in three starts this season, the latest when trapped wide and beaten in a photo by Redoute Star over 1,800m at his previous run under Purton. 'He drew wide and got stuck there and should have won. I'm happy that Gary stuck with me because this time, from a better gate, I was able to get the job done,' said Purton after the second of his three wins for the afternoon. 'He doesn't do anything all that quickly and doesn't have a great turn of foot, so he needs to be able to get rolling and keep rolling.'
