Peter Ho Leung praised the development of Ben So Tik-hung after the apprentice scored on Solar Boy in the Tung Chung Handicap (1,400m). So got a sole lead on the five-year-old after jumping from gate five and managed to hang on for a half-length victory. 'I asked Ben to get to the front and get a soft lead and he did what I told him to do,' Ho said. 'Compared with last season, he has more strength and more confidence and keeps improving.' Ho has settled on Sha Tin's 1,400m as the best course for Solar Boy after recent failed attempts at Happy Valley's 1,650m and 1,200m on the dirt track. So has ridden nine winners for the term, placing him in the top half on the championship ladder.
