Sunray Cave Sun Hei shot to the top of the BMA First Division table when they thrashed Hong Kong Sapling 5-0 at Mong Kok Stadium last night. Cheng Siu-wai struck in the first minute but had to wait until the second half before completing his brace, while Luk Chi-Ho, Carlos dos Santos and Leung Tsz-chun added to the tally to complete a miserable night for Sapling and continue Sun Hei's impressive run this season. 'We tried much harder in the second half than the first after thinking it was going to be easy,' said Sun Hei coach Ricardo Rambo. Sun Hei are on 17 points, three ahead of defending champions Kitchee, who can regain top spot if they beat Sham Shui Po tomorrow. South China take on Wofoo Tai Po today, hoping to put their title hopes back on track.
