Cheery remakes of old faves

It is going to be a merry Christmas indeed for Justin Bieber. His latest album, Under the Mistletoe, is the first-ever Christmas album by a male artist to open at the top of the Billboard 200 charts.
Fans won't have to look further for an upbeat collection of energetic tunes to celebrate the festivities. Though traces of repetitive melodic features do appear within the collection, Bieber mixes it up the best he can, incorporating R&B, pop and country.
The album boasts collaborations with top names such as Usher, Mariah Carey, Busta Rhymes, Boyz II Men and country group The Band Perry.
Bieber adds a contemporary flair to beloved Christmas classics. This collection of old favourites showcases a rockin' remake of Santa Claus Is Coming to Town, catchy hip hop beats in Drummer Boy and a charmingly soulful version of Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire.
Most notable is lead single Mistletoe, an original number which Bieber co-wrote. Soft guitar melodies unite with twinkling sleigh bells in this breezy Christmas future classic.
To the non-Beliebers out there shaking their heads disdainfully at the idea of Biebmas, dare to try one track - you may end up secretly enjoying it.
