In the spirit of the holiday season, we took a dramatic turn for this issue's cover shoot. Stylist Ambrose chose a range of eclectic headpieces and accessories while make-up artist Grischa Chan painted faces in a rainbow of bold colours.

Leading brands Shiseido, Lancome, Cle de Peau Beaute and bareMinerals provided shimmering eye shadows and rich lipsticks to complement the latest false eyelashes from Shu Uemura - including a special holiday collection designed in collaboration with renowned filmmaker Wong Kar-wai.

Models Carla Pagot and Myra Tang were up to the task, trying a variety of poses for photographer Nick. And we caught it all on film for our exclusive behind-the-scenes video.
