To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Christian Louboutin's first store, which opened in Paris in 1992, Britain will hold a retrospective exhibition on the shoe designer at the Design Museum in London later this year. Opening in March 2012, it will highlight Louboutin's prestigious history and chic staying power, showcasing everything from his iconic high-heel creations and fetish collections to such casual offerings as studded high-top trainers. As well as this, it will also offer a rare behind-the-scenes look at the French designer's creative process, with Louboutin's influences stretching to such diverse mediums as architecture, art, film and travel. designmuseum.org
