UNITED Merchants Finance (UMF) has been assigned a high A/B intra-country rating by Thomson BankWatch, UMF says.

The rating was the second highest assigned by Thomson BankWatch, which specialises in rating banks, UMF said.

A 50-50 joint venture between General Electric Capital and affiliates of Jardine Pacific Holdings, UMF is a restricted licence bank which provides financial services including hire purchase, equipment leasing, mortgages and personal loans.
