Passenger thought life jacket was a souvenir

A mainland tourist got a verbal warning at the airport after a life jacket stolen from a Dragonair flight was found in her luggage in a transit security check. The woman, 39, arrived on a flight from Chengdu and thought the jacket was a souvenir, police said. She boarded a flight to Thailand.

Bureau wants new section to ensure land supply

A chief town planner will be hired to lead a new section proposed for the Planning Department to ensure the city has enough land for housing and office development. Staff for the section would cost HK$14.8 million. The Development Bureau will seek lawmakers' approval on Monday.

Driver released on bail over Peak death

A renovation firm owner appeared in Eastern Court accused of dangerous driving causing the death of a man on The Peak last month. Pang Kun-wah, 61, entered no plea. He allegedly drove dangerously outside 11 Pollock's Path, causing the death of Chong Wing-hang. Pang was released on bail and his case adjourned to February 6.

Fortress staff faked details for iPhone sales

Two Fortress Times Square staff - Chan Hiu-lung, 35, and Sze Kam-wai, 32 - pleaded guilty to faking personal details to help others buy the iPhone 4 in bulk. It was a breach of company policy at the time. The case was adjourned to February 27.
