UK shirt-slogan king Henry Holland rallies the crowd at distributor's Christmas bash

British fashion's golden boy, Henry Holland, has visited Hong Kong to meet the press and have a tete-a-tete with potential business partners.

The designer is famed for his smart T-shirts and sometimes provocative slogans, and for his friendships with top British fashion insiders, stars and models such as Alexa Chung and Agyness Deyn.

This time, Holland manned the DJ's booth for the Christmas party of local fashion distributor Electric sekki last Friday at Fly in Central. The party drew a crowd of regulars from the city's fashion circuit. Party-goers queued up for entry to the nightclub well into the early hours.

When the designer stepped down from the decks to join the crowd on the dance floor, a few guests tried to corner him but he soon managed to make himself elusive in the jam-packed venue.

However, Holland seemed to be in great spirits when we finally caught up with him in the crowd.

He said he loved partying in Hong Kong and, judging from his frequent Twitter updates while he was in town, he particularly enjoyed the view of the skyline, breakfast at The Peninsula hotel and the colourful night markets.
