Driven to ultimate luxury
The Lamborghini Aventador, Ferrari 458 Spider and McLaren MP4 are the must-have cars of the moment, but they might be hard to get hold of in Hong Kong. A British club, RS Academy, gives well-heeled enthusiasts the chance to drive such supercars and 'an incredible portfolio of private aircraft and yachts' at the La Terre Blanche golf resort and spa, about 20km inland from Cannes on France's C?te D'Azur.
'We can now provide the complete luxury lifestyle experience to our members with the benefit of totally bespoke customer service,' says RS Azure's founder, Rob Stanbury.
The club also offers 'fixed price', 2-3 day packages aimed at corporate clients who can gain commitment-free access to the club for one-off or ad-hoc events, he says. 'A typical fixed-price' experience would include a return flight on a private jet, one day enjoying a fully-staffed luxury yacht, a day driving the finest supercars on local coastal and mountain roads, and a day enjoying world-class golf and relaxing in a spa,' Stanbury says.
The club rents planes ranging from a Cessna Mustang Citation jet for six passengers, at GBP2,500 per hour, including fuel, pilot and landing fees for certain private airports, or a Hawker Beech King 350 turbo prop for 10 passengers, at GBP1,750 per hour, including fuel, its website says. A Eurocopter EC120 helicopter for five passengers is offered online for GBP250 per local trip.
The club says its yachts are moored at Cannes, Antibes, St Tropez and Corsica, and are offered at a day rate with skipper, hostess and three hours' motoring included. Its Azimut 55 Fly is offered at GBP1,500 per day, with an Italcraft 70 Drago (GBP2,000 per day), AB78 (GBP2,250 per day) and San Lorenzo 100 at GBP2,500 per day.
