Market-paced MBA course

Master of Business Administration Hong Kong Baptist University

The business world is ever-changing, and so too is the curriculum of the MBA offered by HKBU's School of Business. 'In recent years, two courses - corporate governance and corporate social responsibility (CSR) - have been introduced,' says associate programme director Dr Billy Mak. 'On the CSR course, we link up students with social enterprises and ask them to advise [these ventures] on how to run the businesses sustainably.

'We help students develop business management and problem-solving skills, two major requirements for executives. There will be overseas field trips and case studies,' says Mak.

Also, all first year students are required to participate in an Outward Bound orienteering course.

Students can study one year full-time or two years, part-time. Latter lessons are held on weekday evenings.

Applicants should have a recognised bachelor's degree, and at least three years of relevant work experience. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply for the full-time course. Graduate Management Admission Test scores may be required, though those with at least eight years' work experience are exempted.
