Chief executive hopeful Leung Chun-ying suffered a setback in Sunday's voting for the Election Committee. His supporters won only 58 seats, just over a third of the total rival Henry Tang Ying-yen's supporters won. Leung barely managed to keep his committee seat - he came in 51st out of the 55 Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference representatives. Tang, the former chief secretary, has made the final round of voting. Pan-democrats got 205 seats.
