Say no to virus with a grudge

HERE is some travel advice for those of you who spend your time journeying on the Information Highway.

Word has reached Keeping Posted that a curious computer virus is going around in modem-happy circles in both Hong Kong and China which could be dangerous to your health - or rather, the health of your hard disks.

Apparently, when the virus strikes a message appears on the screen: 'Do you think Li Peng is a good prime minister?' If the answer given is 'no' the message disappears and the system is not harmed.

But if one unsuspectingly types in 'yes' the virus wipes out the whole disk.

One further bit of advice. Should a message appear on your screen asking 'Do you think Chris Patten is a good governor?', switch off the power immediately.
