Winning trainer Michael Chang Chun-wai did mercifully stop short of saying the world was his oyster after the Pak Tam Au Handicap (1,200m), but conceded the horse of the same name probably appreciated patient handling. Oyster (Eddy Lai Wai-ming) had been disappointing in some recent runs, but a poor draw on the dirt gave Chang reason to have the five-year-old ridden further back and he certainly responded. 'He's been on the dirt once before, but he was closer in the run and didn't finish off and then he was handy again at Happy Valley and didn't finish the race,' Chang said. 'So, I just asked the jockey to give him a chance early instead of using him.'
