Fun day aids charity

Students from St Mark's Secondary School scored for charity when they organised an inter-class soccer game to raise funds for Operation Santa Claus (OSC) last Friday.

The school fielded 12 teams in a knockout contest which ended in a victory for Tao-Shing, made up of Form Five students, who beat Exclamation 4-2.

'It was a great day because we got to play soccer while helping people in need,' Tao-Shing captain Barry Chung Hoi-tao said. The school also organised a basketball tournament, talent show and some other activities to raise more than HK$43,000.

OSC is jointly organised by the South China Morning Post and RTHK and raises money for 16 local charities.
