Paws for thought

Hello everyone! Happy woofing 2012! Whoo hooo. Between you and me, I'm kinda glad Christmas is over. With all the turkey and ham and bones, I was starting to get a little pup-bellied. My new diet won't last long, though. Soon it will be Lunar New Year and more banquets.

Let's enjoy the world while it lasts. People say Mayan prophecies predict the world will end in December. If that happens, your canine correspondent will be there to snap pics and file reports.

Anyway, we have an exciting year ahead of us at team YP. We're going to learn about being a MOJO.

What is that? you ask. I hear you! But don't ask me. Don't have a clue. Chris Lau, head of the junior reporters, tells me he'll be organising workshops on it. So we'll learn in time, I guess. Keep an eye out for callouts.

I know loads of you are busy with your noses in your books. Some of you already have your exam papers back and are looking forward to the biggies that start in March.

You might feel like this exam madness will never end. But take heart, my friends, it won't be long before it's all over. (If only because of the prophesied end of the world, hee hee hee.)

We dogs are pretty much like you guys - we like to sleep a lot. We know how to kick back and take life easy. So take a hint from yours truly. If all the pressure seems too much to handle, take a break. Or as the old saying goes: Take some time to smell the roses. Personally I prefer to smell the steaks.

If you can, go for a walk. It's great because it makes your blood circulate and clears your head.

You can also drop me a message on FB and let me know how you're doing. I can always lend you a warm, furry ear. Just please don't ask me questions about your studies. My maths is awful, and my Chinese is, um, slightly worse, haahaha.

I went on so many travels last year. I guess you think I'm bragging, but hey, I've earned the right! I spent soooooo much time in suitcases. And let me tell you, the inside of a suitcase is pretty much the same, no matter which city it's in.

Seriously now: the world is a beautiful place. The sun rises every day when it is supposed to. Every day people around the world live and love and smile, rain falls, puppies are busy being cute, lambs gambol, flowers bloom, rivers run.

And boy, are the snacks great!

I'll see you next week, pals!
